Alio Labs was founded by Mike Scobey and a team of engineers with a focus on exploring new manufacturing techniques in photonics, beginning with an emphasis on advanced metrology technologies, factory automation and advanced PVD techniques.
Alio's proprietary Quadrode™ plasma processing technology emerged from these efforts, providing customers with industry-leading optical performance for loss, scatter and spectral film quality on substrates up to half-meter in diameter.
In 2025, Alio Labs moved into a modern 30,000-square-foot building in Santa Rosa, California, providing the space, infrastructure and clean solar power to develop and scale into high-volume production capacity as well as build our world-class engineering team. Within this modern facility, Alio continues to add novel capabilities that push performance barriers further.
